A message from the Worshipful Master

July is the month that many American Freemasons have been looking forward to for a long time. In exactly five days (as I write this), the United States of America will officially turn 250 years old. For me personally, there is no greater honor or privilege than to be able to serve my term as Worshipful Master of Manasseh Lodge during this momentous year. By the time this Trestleboard goes out, we will have already celebrated this occasion with our June 27th barbecue. I can unequivocally state that it was a monumental success, filled with great food, great music, and great fellowship. This month, we will have our usual business with our July Stated Communication, as well as the presentation of our annual Manasseh Scholarship Program; we also have a number of family extracurricular activities and appendant body installations. I strongly encourage many of you to participate in these activities if within the length of your cable tow.

We had an extremely well-received June Stated Communication. I would like to personally thank our Prince William DeMolay Appendant body for preparing the truly delicious dinner. I also would like to thank Illustrious Worshipful Brother & Author Steven L. Harrison, who was gracious to fly all the way out to see us from the state of Missouri and put on a very entertaining "Clash of the Titans" program.

July's Stated Communication will be no less thrilling as the previous one is. Our Amaranth Grand Court Means & Ways will be preparing a wonderful meal, which will be followed by our annual Scholarship Program in which seven lucky applicants will receive an award for their hard work and dedication which will go towards building a better and brighter future not just for them but for countless others as well. We will have a engrossing presentation that will be given by none other than Manasseh's thrice past Worshipful Master, Mr. Joseph Martinez. He will be giving a presentation entitled "Freemasonry & the Founding of the American Republic."

May the Great Architect of the Universe bless you with wisdom to guide your actions, strength to support your labors, and beauty to inspire your works.
