A message from the Worshipful Master
Brethren and Friends of Manasseh Lodge 182,
It is hard to believe that we will already be approaching the fifth official meeting of Manasseh Lodge 182, but I guess the saying is true, "Time flies when you're having fun." May is an especially important month for our Lodge, as we have a number of important events happening. Not the least of which is the first of several field trips planned for this year, beginning in Gettysburg. Also, our annual Strawberry Night festival is this month which will be attended by the Grand Master of Masons for the Commonwealth of Virginia, Matthew Szramoski.
Our April Stated Communication was another continued success. We had a very delicious dinner which was cooked and served by representatives of Amaranth Grand Court Ways & Means, Royal Matron Jo Sanderson as well as Royal Patron Ben Elliott and his wife, Lisa. So, I want to personally thank for all they have done. For the meeting, we were presented with a very enlightening program by Right Worshipful Robert Johnson of Waukegan Lodge #78, who gave a presentation on Masonic Pub Crawl: colonial Freemasonry. We also were graced with the presence of Right Worshipful John Petrie who presented our previous Worshipful Master, Joe Martinez and Senior Steward Henry Mottesheard (who also received a jewel) with certificates for the Grand Lodge 1778 Society.
Our May Stated Communication will consist of the usual business, and will include a program given by Worshipful David Bella of Alexandria-Washington Lodge #22 who will be giving a presentation on "The Philosophy of No Country For Old Men."
This month’s dining will be an excellent dinner provided by Manassas Rainbow Assembly #13
