A message from the Worshipful Master
Manasseh Family, hoping all of you are beginning to enjoy the warmer days, and the occasional thunderstorm, as we head into the Summer months! Thank you to everyone who has continued to support and grace our Lodge with the presence and assitance!
June was an amazing month for Masonry in Manassas. We were honored to pass another Brother to the Degree of Fellowcraft, are staying quite busy with ritual and catechism practice, and our appendant bodies and youth groups are staying most active! We ended the month with an outstanding Table Lodge at Kena Shriners, to honor the Feast of St. John, and also to mark the midsummer and Solstice, ushering in brighter days and light all around!
July will be another jam-packed month, which will include our Stated Communication, with a presentation from Brother Matt Parker from North Carolina, a smoked feast by our resident chef, Brother Reza Nejad, and many more activities for our greater Lodge family!
We will also be welcoming a new Rainbow term and will be graced by Miss Maribel Martinez (whom I happen to know very well) as the new Worthy Advisor for our Rainbow Assembly. Please continue to support this wonderful young lady, and all the ladies of Manassas Rainbow, as they make our world a better place!
We wished Worshipful Brother Phil Sommers a very bittersweet goodbye, as he and the Sommers family moved to their retirement home in Florida. I want to personally thank WB Phil for his many years of dedication to our Lodge, his tireless patience and counsel, and for being a shining example of Freemasonry wherever he went. He and his family will be sorely missed, but we wish him the warmth and respite that only Florida can provide.
May the Great Architect of the Universe continue to keep you, hold you in His embrace, surround you with Blessings, and bring you the blessings of Brotherly Love and genuine affection.
