     Joint Easter Egg Hunt and Blood Drive with Kena Shrine

     After a long cold Winter, I am sure we are all looking forward to the promise of Spring with warmer temperatures, budding trees and blooming flowers.

     Most Worshipful Hershey has declared April as Youth Month. In his message he reminds us of the importance of involving the youth of today in order to build a better future tomorrow. Manasseh Lodge is fortunate to have very active Rainbow and DeMolay groups, so we indeed embrace and put into action the wish of the Grand Master.

     At the April stated we will be welcoming a visit of DEO John “Doc” Mitchell who is a Past Master of Manasseh. Please plan to attend to listen to the new program Doc has prepared for the evening.

     Subordinate Lodge Officer Training (SLOT) will have 2 sessions with the 1st scheduled on April 6th at Haymarket Lodge from 8:00am till noon. The goal of the training is to better prepare line officers to take on the role of Master of the Lodge. Attendance by Wardens, Deacons and Stewards is strongly recommended.

     With Spring nearly upon us we are making preparations for our annual Easter Egg Hunt. This year we will be having a joint event with the Kena Shriners. llustrious Peter D. "Pete" Klei and I agreed to have a joint event to celebrate the strong masonic ties. The Hunt will be on Saturday April 20th at Manasseh Lodge starting at 1pm. Make sure all kids bring their baskets for the hunt. Kena Klowns will be there and refreshments will be provided.

     During the Easter Egg Hunt, Manasseh Lodge will be having a blood drive starting from 1pm until 4pm. Blood supplies are at dangerously low levels and donations are desperately needed. So please plan to donate if you are able.
