     We start the month with the visit of DDGM, Rt. Wor. James Kraut to our lodge. Please plan to attend the stated to meet RW Jim and hear his message. It will also be a great opportunity for fellowship with other brethren visiting from district lodges.

     Back by popular demand is the St. Patrick’s Day Party and Ceili (pronounced Kay-Lee) Dance scheduled on March 2nd from 7:00pm to 10:00pm. The evening will include live traditional Irish dance music provided by The Shepherds Pie Ceili Band. Our own Brother Doyle Meadows will act as Dance Master for the evening. You are invited to bring a desert, chips and dips or other light refreshments to share. There will be no dinner prior to the event. There is no
charge for the event and all are welcome. Please feel free to bring family and friends.

     The C.A Sinclair Area Ritual School will take place on March 9th at Hay Market Lodge #313. Breakfast will be served at 7:15am and the school starts promptly at 8am and will provide an excellent learning opportunity. The school was named in honor of our own famed Charles “Charmie” Sinclair who served as Worshipful Master from 1941 until 1944, DDGM during 1947-1948, and Grand Lecturer from 1967-1973.

     The Division Education and Leadership Conference (DLC) is schedule for the 15th and 16th of March. The Friday March 15th session will take place at Our Savior Lutheran Church 6194 Dumfries Road, Warrenton VA with registration starting at 630pm. The Saturday March 16th session takes place at Alexandria Scottish Rite 1430 W. Braddock Road in Alexandria with registration starting at 8am.

     The year is off to a good start in regards to membership. We have 2 brothers on their way to becoming master masons, and two more petitions. A healthy sign for Masonry in general and our lodge in particular. I ask that your support the men as they progress. I also encourage you to be active in your lodge.  Please contact me to let me know how you can best support the lodge.
