Greetings, Brethren and welcome to the October Trestleboard, Fall is here and it’s a great time of the year!. This month is going to be full of action and fun packed. We start off the month with us celebrating the Manassas Fall Jubilee on October 6th. This year we are going to be setting up a Manasseh Lodge information booth in which our goal is to talk to prospective members about our Masonic Fraternity and all our Lodge Brethren are invited out to help spread the word. In conjunction with this our Masonic youth groups will be on hand selling Krispy Kreme doughnuts, coffee and cider. So, come on by the booth grab a doughnut or two and helps us spread the word about our fantastic masonic fraternity.

Brethren, on October 13th we have been invited by our Grand Master, Most Worshipful Gary W. Taylor to join him for our Masonic Family Day celebration! We will be headed down to Richmond for the Masonic Family Day which will be held on the grounds of the Masonic Home of Virginia. The Masonic Home is located at 500 Masonic Lane, Henrico, Virginia 23231. Please come join us in the festivities which start at 8 a.m. for coffee and doughnuts, followed by a Corn Hole tournament and tours of the facilities. The youth groups activities will start at 10 a.m. and then the Parade will kickoff at 11 a.m. followed by the famous Amelia Lodge #101 barbeque at noon. Everything is free, so come on out with the children, grandchildren and anyone else you would like to invite to this awesome event. There will be plenty of music, food, and fellowship for all!

On October 20th, Manasseh lodge will be hosting its annual Halloween “Trunk or Treat” party. Everyone is invited to come and participate in the fun and games. Costumes of course are encouraged, but not a necessity and a pot luck style dinner will be the fare, so please bring your scariest dish to share. Last year we saw several witches, an Egyptian Pharaoh and a walking baby pumpkin.

On the following day, October 21st our very own Rainbow girls, Manassas Assembly #13 will be headed out to the Corn Maze in the Plains for a fun filled day of Fall activities.  There is a 5 acre corn maze, pumpkin patch and an awesome hayride. We had a great time last year and this year will be no different. In addition to this we have a Scholarship Bowling event on October 28th starting at 1 p.m. at the Bowl America on Balls Ford Road.

Brethren, friends, and family as you can tell we have an action-packed month full of activities for all to enjoy and have a lot of fun in doing so! So please come on out to support and take part in all the festivities.
