A message from the Worshipful Master
Greetings Brethren, to your September Trestleboard! The lodge has once again had an awesome month and we started it all off by giving out our annual Lodge scholarships. Brethren, Manasseh has been very blessed by your generous donations to help the scholarship fund over the years. That generosity has allowed us to issue seven scholarships to seven well deserving applicants. AII seven are truly amazing students, the Thomas R. Wickman scholarship recipient was Sydney Braden, the Jeff Dunn Scholarship recipient was Rachel Bentz and the Floyd D. Vetter scholarship recipient was Kaitlyn Gigi Costis. The ever-rising costs of an education has grown, and these students are eternally grateful for your donations.
One of the greatest honors a Worshipful Master can have is to present a Sixty-year Masonic veteran award to a fellow Brother. This month I had the distinct honor and pleasure of presenting Brother Eugene B. Harlow with his 60-year pin. Gene was raised in 1958 and has dedicated himself to an amazing masonic career. For 50 years Gene took care of taking the Lodge's trestleboard to the post office for mailing, as well as being extremely active and supporting our Job's Daughter Bethel. Brethren, please congratulate Gene on this milestone when you see him for it is a very rare occasion.
I want to take this time to say " Thank You" to everyone who helped in making the Grand Royal Matron and Patron of Amaranth's Official Visit a smashing success. Over 62 people were on hand to welcome Honored Lady Debbie and Sir Knight Carl Dunn home to their Court. Several guests traveled from all over the Eastern seaboard to come to this event and it was awesome feat to have the Lodge packed with so many guests.
Brethren let us not forget that on September 15th and 16th, The William Ed Ray, Sr. Area Ritual School will be held at Henry Lodge at 8 a.m. This year the School will be conducted in a little bit of a different format. AII the degrees will be performed bya District ritual team, in the hopes of a better learning experience for all the attendees. So, come on out Brethren and let's learn from some of the best ritualists in the District!
On a more personal note, I want to thank each one of you for all the well wishes that you have sent to my family. My wife Darcy's sister passed away from a 7-month battle with Cancer. One of the most amazing things about our fraternity, and one that I'm extremely proud of, is the never-ending outpouring of love shown to us. The kindness, prayers, and thoughts have helped us tremendously to heal our hearts and to fill the loss of a loved one. My family is eternally grateful and blessed to have such amazing friends and people in our lives! Thank You!
Flags will be flown this month on behalf of Worshipful Brother Henry L. Baerenz
