    Greetings Brethren and welcome to your May Trestleboard. Things have been a little crazy around here as of late. Worshipful Tom Walker was hospitalized for a stroke, but he is now recovering out in Culpepper, so lets send out our prayers to him and his family. Tom and Louise have been faithfully dedicated to our lodge for 50 years and have printed our Trestleboard each year. Shortly after that Worshipful Bennet Hart was hospitalized as well for two Blood clots that were in his lungs. Worshipful Bennett is recovering as well. In addition to all this our very own Grand Royal Matron Debbie Dunn was hospitalized for a heart attack. The great news for all is that everyone is out the hospital and recovering, so please send your thoughts, prayers and well wishes their way.

    The joint battlefield communication between the Civil War Lodge of Research #1865 and Manasseh Lodge was a huge success, that was followed by a very successful blood drive. The blood drive was a joint effort between the Wimodausis Chapter #106 Order of the Eastern Star and the lodge. The Worthy Matron Jean Wertman and the Worthy Patron Tom Costis are to be applauded for all their hard work. Thank you so much Jean and Tom. Overall the drive collected 29 donations/units of blood and a great big thank you to all who participated and made this the success event it was. On Sunday April 22nd the Rainbow girls prepared a entire  spaghetti dinner, including desert for our local Manassas fire department and dropped it off. It was their way of saying thank you to those citizens who serve our community. Great Job girls!

    At the May Stated the Lodge will be presenting a Community Builders award to the Mayor of Manassas Honorable Hal Parrish. Hal was instrumental in assisting the efforts to bring Kena Shrine to the City of Manassas.

    Finally Brethren our next big event for the lodge will be our annual Strawberry Night that will be held on May 26th at 6:00 pm. The Grand Master of Masons in Virginia, Gary Wallace Taylor himself will be on hand to help us celebrate and present a few Masonic Veteran awards. So come on out and partake in the festivities and enjoy in some Fellowship.

    Flags will be flown this month of behalf of Frederick H. Baerenz, a 60 year Masonic veteran.
