A message from the Worshipful Master

As Spring approaches, we look forward to Spring. Take time now to prepare to plant the seeds of our gardens so that they may help us through the lean times. In our garden of life, let us plant the seeds of fraternal love and brotherhood so that we will prevail in all the trials we may face later on in our lives.

Right Worshipful Rhey Solomon has one more officiaf visit this month. He had to be out of town last month so his last official visit will be to Acacia Lodge No. 16 on March 2. Right Worshipful Solomon has been spreading light expanding on Grand Master V. Stuart Cook's theme for this Masonic year. He gave some great speeches on the Masonic lessons he has learned from his years of Masonry. He tied each lodge into these lessons that we should learn from and apply to our daily lives. His last official visit will be as great as the others and I hope our brethren can make it out to this visit.

This month we will not have a District Class but will participate in the C.A. Sinclair, Jr. Area Ritual School.
Herndon Lodge No. 264 will host the class this year. Manasseh Lodge No. 182 has been assigned to call back on to a Master Mason Lodge, ballot on a candidate to receive the degrees in Masonry and confer the Master Mason degree, First Session. Herndon Lodge will serve dinner at 6:00 p.m. and class starts at 7:00 p.m. on March 17. Breakfast will be served at 7:45 a.m. on Saturday, March 18 and class will begin at 8:30 a.m. If it is within the length of your cable tow, come out and support our lodge as well and see the degrees exemplified along with the catech1sms.

Due to weather conditions, the Official Visit of Most Excellent Daniel H. Surface was postponed until March 25th. Most Excellent Surface's visit will be at our own Manasseh Lodge. This is a joint venture between the 1st and 17th Capitular Districts. Dinner will be at 6:00 p.m. and the tiled meeting at 7:30 p.m.  All Royal Arch Masons are welcome to attend. The dinner will be paid for by the Chapters of each district and it will be a great time to see all the Companions and our Grand High Pnest.

The Manassas Rainbow Girls Assembly No. 13 participated in the Grand Assembly competitions and did very well. We are proud of our Assembly and their ritual ability. The ladies prepared an excellent dinner for the February Stated and will prepare our March Stated dinner as well. These dinners will help our girls as they prepare to raise funds for the upcoming Grand Assembly in July. Where the Manassas Rainbow Girls Assembly No. 13 is concerned, we have a lot to be proud of, so show up for dinner and tell them how great they are doing.

The DeMolay Legion of Honor Obligatory Dinner is scheduled for March 18 at 5:00 p.m. The Grand Senior Warden, Right Worshipful James W. Golladay, Jr. is the guest speaker. The Legion of Honor Obligatory inner is open to all youth and guests. The cost of the dinner is $5 for adults and $8 for the youth. Right Worshipful William Costis is sending out the invitations, but you can contact him at bill.costis@gmail.com or 703-361-4778 for reservations before Marclh 14. Dad Wyatt Hamrick is arranging several activities for the boys to have fun and at the same time develop themselves into our future leaders. Our DeMolay is getting stronger, but much work is still needed. Let us take the time to invest them with our time and talents so they can take our places some day.

Tammy Swihart will be installed as Worthy Matron of Wimodausis Chapter No. 106, OES, on March 11, at 7:00 p.m. Tammy has been working hard to ensure her year as Worthy Matron will be rewarding for her and make the Chapter more prosperous. Tammy has been an intergral part of my life both at home and throughout my Masonic career. She has been visiting other Chapters to spread friendship and love so other chapters will know Wimodausis Chapter. Come out and support our Eastern Star Chapter on their lnstallaltion of Oltlcers. They have always been there to support us, so let's give them our support as Wimodausis Chapter No. 106 begins a new year.

Participation in each of these events shows our commitment to our Masonic families and strengthens our bonds
between the lodges, assemblies, chapters and courts. If within the length of your cable tow, come out and join in
celebrating the beginning of their terms.

If interested in having flags flown in memory of someone., Please see the Lodge Secretary or myself. The
cost is $200 for three months.

Our work is never done and is a constant challenge to live up to our obligations. Without faith in our God and the
commitment to the principles we live by, our way of life would not be as it is now. We must work together as family
so we can achieve anything, make a difference and set a good example. We are a "Force For Good" for all those lives
we touch.
