    Remember!!! The September Stated is moved from Friday the 4th to Friday the 11th due to the Labor Day weekend!!!

    I hope all are finishing up a great summer! It has truly been a green one and not too hot. The Grand Master, Reese Edward Carroll, Jr., has been busy in Northern Virginia lately. We had a good turn out to see Most Worshipful Carroll on the occasion of his Official Visit on August 8th. The turn out at the Reid Simmons School wasn't as well attended as hoped, but the work and the camaraderie was superb as always.

    Congratulations to these Brethren for years of devoted service to the craft and to the community. Thank you B Secretary, RW Carl Dunn, Jr., for pulling all the information together.

    In addition, Manasseh Lodge presented the Grand Lodge of Virginia Community Builders' Award to the Honorable Carroll A. Weimer, Jr., Circuit Court Judge for the 31st Judicial Circuit. Also, he is a great supporter of youth, church and the community. RW Allen Wade was on hand to help make the presentations. Thanks RW!

    The Masonic Home of Virginia's John Powers Stokes Award for 2014 (WB Clancy Nidell) was presented to Manasseh Lodge by WB William Baunback - the great tradition continues.

    August was also Royal Arch Night and we were honored to have the head of Royal Arch Masonry in the Commonwealth of Virginia, our own Most Excellent High Priest Donald Leo McAndrews (a Manasseh Past Master). We had the head of the 17th Capitular District - our own Right Excellent Chris Swihart and Excellent Doug Dulaney - High Priest of Manassas Chapter. The program was presented by Past Most Excellent High Priest, "Buddy" Wagoner - Special Thanks to All!

    In September, the Wardens will be moving up and will be handling the Stated Communication. All the best to B Chris Swihart and his team. This will be Scottish Rite Nite with a program from the Scottish Rite and one from the Prince William County Sheriff's Office.

    If anyone knows of a Brother that is "Ill or in Distress", please let me know or contact RW Linwood Lee Holbrook, Jr.

    Those who wish to have flags flown in honor of a passed brother, please see the Lodge Secretary or myself. Flags flown this month are in honor of WB Thomas R. Wickman, Past Master of Manasseh Lodge who was called to the Celestial Lodge on June 19th.
