The U.K. Demonstration Team had a very successful visit and a great time in May!!! For those who got to see their exemplification of the Master Mason Degree – it was EXCELLENT and very well done. Their Worshipful Master has an awful lot of memory work and it was MASTERFUL. Their Walking Charge was also VERY impressive. Special thanks to W Bill Edwards who provided a GREAT Shrimp Boil the same day we raised B Robert Lesefka to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason. The Degree was well done and the Brits were very appreciative. Thanks to B Rob who was also the candidate for the U.K. Demonstration. Special thanks to W “Doc” Mitchell, W John Phillips, B Bill Reick, Sr.,and B Bobby Pointer who helped with transportation and spent time with our guests. B Terry Fearnley (Major, William Sheriff’s Office) hosted our guests also. Our Stewards, B Bill Wolfe, B Phil Sommers and W Mike Barham (and their wives) provided a great fare for all too. Also, special thanks to B Doug Dulaney, High Priest of our Manassas RAM, B Chris Swihart, District Deputy Grand High Priest and W Don McAndrews, Grand High Priest, who made the exemplification of the Past Master Degree possible and did a great job doing it !!

Manasseh Lodge raised two new Master Masons this month – Brother Rob Lesefka and Nick Carley!!! Congratulations!!!! In addition, Andrew Utz was Initiated an Entered Apprentice!! Welcome!!!!
Congratulations to B Chuck Wilkinson who received the rarely given Dan Beard Masonic Scouting Award!! He is stepping down as Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 1188 but will remain active in the Crew and as Assistant Scoutmaster. All the best!!!
W John “Doc” Mitchell also received an award at the May Stated. He was awarded “Volunteer of the Year – 2014” by the Greater Manassas Inter-Service Club Council. Well done “Doc”!!
W Gene Keyton has finished his production of the early records of Manasseh Lodge. He was appointed the Lodge Historian and presented a hard copy and disk to the Lodge at the May Stated.
The Rainbow Girls held their Second Annual Frank Sinatra Dinner – Dance on Saturday, May 16th. The Girls outdid themselves in completely refurbishing the Lodge. A great time was had again!!!
The details of the May 30th Annual Strawberry night could not make this Trestleboard, but will be in the July Trestleboard. Remember the July Stated Communication will be held jointly with the Civil War Lodge of Research on Saturday, July 11th at the Manassas Battlefield – specifics to follow.
Manasseh Lodge, under B Rob McDaniel, is organizing the Child ID in concert with the Prince William County Sheriff’s Office for Saturday, June 6th and is coordinating our Citizenship Awards at Metz and Mayfield Schools which are due to be given on Wednesday, June 10th. Brothers are needed to help for both events… contact Brother Rob.
Manasseh Lodge has a commitment to attend the St. John’s Sunday church services. This year we have an invitation to attend on Sunday, June 14th at the Reformed Presbyterian Church of Manassas. It is on the corner of Center and Fairview at 10:00 A.M. Please try to attend.
To all those with college age children or relatives, the Masonic Scholarships Applications are now available online. Besides Manasseh Lodge’s, Manassas Royal Arch Chapter has one and so does the Scottish Rite. Make sure those applications are fully filled out and turned in on time.
If anyone knows of a Brother that is “Ill or in Distress,” please let me know or contact RW Linwood Lee Holbrook, Jr.
